Heart Vitamins - 90 Capsules
- from the heart, for the heart
The heart is our most important muscle, and as such, it needs to be constantly well looked after, as it is a machine that provides truly breathtaking performance. Our heart beats all the time, for a whole lifetime, without pause. 24 hours a day – day in, day out.
65 to 70 times a minute. That adds up to around 100,000 heartbeats per day. Or in a year, some 37 million operations of the pump. Which means that in the course of a life of 70 years, the heart beats an inconceivable 2.6 billion times, or thereabouts.
With every beat, it pumps around 70 ml of blood into the body’s circulation system. At a rate of 70 heartbeats per minute, that amounts to around 4.9 litres of blood. Which adds up to 294 litres per hour. Or 7,056 litres in a day, and an incredible volume in a year of 2,575,440 litres of blood. So when you are 80 years old, your hat has pumped 210,240,000 litres of blood round your body. An absolutely insane achievement, as you will surely agree!
During that process, the blood is pumped through a network of vessels with a length of 100,000 km. Which is also unimaginable! However, we tend to take all this for granted and regard it as normal, and as a general rule take very little notice of all this hard work going on inside our bodies. Nevertheless, this mega active organ naturally needs some special nutrients in order to keep the over 6 billion highly specialised cells of the heart muscle happy, and above all in rhythm.
Therefore, our “Heart Vitamins” product contains a carefully devised combination of special nutrients that do precisely that. First and foremost among them is a mineral: potassium. Potassium is the vital substance that keeps the heart beating regularly and prevents it from stumbling.
Muscles - and the heart is, in fact, nothing other than a muscle - only function properly with, among other things, potassium. If this hugely important mineral is lacking, the normal heart frequency gets out of step.
The next highly important and special vital substance for the heart is the oligomer proanthocyanidin (OPC). OPC can be found in particular in grape seeds and is a member of the group of substances known as flavanols. On their part, the flavanols strengthen the healthy heart and lessen the burden on it. Additionally, through its unique structure, OPC supports the natural elasticity and flexibility of the arteries. This is important as we nowadays hear very much about arteriosclerosis and hence inflexible arteries.
The next substance contained in Heart Vitamins also supports the natural health of the arteries, and this is vitamin K2.
This vitamin is often spoken of as having a Teflon effect. For legal reasons, we are not allowed to say more about this – but to find out more, you can simply google the legendary Rotterdam study of 2004. It is truly unbelievable how a single vitamin can have such a positive effect on supporting the natural health of the heart.
In Heart Vitamins, vitamin K2 is powerfully backed up by vitamin D. People generally only associate vitamin D with healthy bones. However, the sunshine vitamin can, in fact, do much more. In combination with vitamin K2, for example, it boosts the production of a special protein, “matrix GLA protein”.
And rather like K2, this protein also protects the veins and arteries.
The same is also true of folic acid. As a vitamin from the B group, this is naturally also included in the formulation for our Heart Vitamins. And another vitamin from the B group is included too, namely thiamin, which directly supports the health of the heart.
Our special Heart Vitamins recipe is further enhanced by Japanese knotweed. This plant is of major interest for our cardiovascular system altogether as the principal active substance is the legendary resveratrol. Resveratrol is, in its turn, a polyphenol (a secondary plant substance) that occurs in particular in grapes and red wine. Have you ever come across the expression “the French paradox”? In recent years, this has repeatedly made the headlines, in view of the fact that French cuisine tends to be relatively fatty, but the French are less affected by heart disease than we are.
This effect is put down to the widespread consumption of red wine in France, and above all the resveratrol that can be found in red wine.
So all in all, our Heart Vitamins product has found a highly effective formula for our high-performance machine which can never take a rest.
Our tip: Combine Heart Vitamins with our Coenzyme Q10. You can do nothing better.
